Need someone to talk to? Think you may need some legal advice? Not sure? Call us. Our services are free and confidential. We also have Staff fluent in Spanish and Chinese who can help.
Here’s what will happen:
- Call Legal Services for Children during our Warm Line hours (Monday – Friday, 1:30pm to 5pm), or drop by our office during our weekly drop-in clinic (Wednesdays 4-6pm).
- An intake worker will take your information and talk to you about your concerns and options.
- An LSC staff attorney will review your case and call you back with your legal options. In some cases, an LSC social worker will also work with you to address all your emotional and behavioral needs. If your case is outside the scope of our services, to the best of our ability we will provide information on how to you can obtain the services you need.
- If your case requires further attention, we will set up a time to meet with you at your home, school, or in our office. In some instances, a volunteer attorney will be assigned to your case, and LSC will continue to monitor your progress.
- If we open your case, it will remain open until your issues are resolved or until you turn 18.
