Children’s Advocacy Awards Luncheon
LSC is hosting its 5th annual pro bono awards luncheon on June 1, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency located at Five Embarcadero in downtown San Francisco. A welcome reception begins at 11:15 followed by lunch and an awards program at 12:00.
This year we are extremely proud to present our leadership award to Thelton E. Henderson, United States District Judge, who will also give a keynote address.
Through the Children’s Advocacy Awards, LSC raises important support to sustain its legal and social work services for children and youth in the Bay Area. It is also a time to recognize the dedication of more than 200 Bay Area attorneys who volunteer on our pro bono panel. In fiscal year 2008-09 this group contributed over 5,000 hours and represented 90 children at a time of crisis in their lives. On June 1st we will present Pro Bono Advocate Awards to the following honorees for their significant service in the prior year:
