-Your Relationships

Physical, sexual, and emotional abuse can happen to anyone — including gay, straight, bisexual, and transgender people.  Even the people you love can hurt you sometimes.  When that happens, you can, and should talk to someone about it.

What can I do if my girlfriend or boyfriend is hurting me?

You can go to a police station and make a report, and go to court and ask for a restraining order to make it illegal for your girlfriend or boyfriend to come near you or contact you.  Also, you can talk with a counselor who knows a lot about these types of situations and can help you think about what to do.
